We invite to you gather with us as we honor our loved ones with a Dia de los Muertos celebration in San Diego’s newest LEEDS certified library.
Join us for a beautiful, colorful, animated film depicting our departed ones as very much still a part of our lives, people we love, miss, and remember on this lovely holiday. In Mexico, families visit los muertos where they lie, build altars to their memories, and communicate lovingly with them on this special day. The dead are not depicted as scary or ghost-like, but as a part of life to be remembered with fondness and nostalgia. It is a beautiful holiday, and this family-friendly movie depicts it memorably with reverence and joy.
Bring your family, enjoy our Day of the Dead goodies, and help us celebrate the continuity between life and death. There will be Day of the Dead special pastries. Come in costume if you like. Prizes awarded for the best.
