Doctors play a crucial role in the way we die as essential advisors, providers, and coordinators of our healthcare decisions and end-of-life planning. Join us to hear from a panel of 3 doctors who will discuss why they support Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), what changes they’d like to see in the law, and how they personally want to die. This meeting examines MAID from 3 doctors’ perspectives and will provide insight to prepare you for your own end-of-life conversations with your physician. The panel will answer questions from our participants.
SPEAKERS:
Curtis Krock, MD: A retired pulmonologist who practiced for 20 years and a member of the Hemlock Society Board of Directors.
Robert Gunn, MD: A retired physician whose wife chose Medical Aid in Dying.
Flora Danque, MD: Medical Director of Apreva Hospice.
This will be Hemlock’s first hybrid meeting with participants both in person at San Diego’s North University Community Library and joining us remotely on Zoom from across the country.
